Kate’s studio will be one of the venues for the Surrey Artists Open Studios coming up this June. You will have the chance to meet and chat with Kate about her work, preview her new book and buy her original artwork. Kate’s studios will be open Wednesday daytime, Thursday evenings (from 6.30pm), Wednesdays and Fridays 11am till 4pm and Saturday and Sunday 10.30am till 5pm.
The event, in its 23rd year, aims to showcase local artists and runs from 3rd to 18th June, with daily events in different studios across the county. Artists open their doors over 16 days allowing you to connect and meet exciting artists across Surrey, buy original artworks at competitive prices and even acquire new skills for yourself through their workshops.
This year there will be nearly 300 artists taking part in 173 studios with a fantastic array of artworks and disciplines on show to browse and to buy.
As well as a chance to meet and talk to artists in their place of work, the summer open studios event offers visitors the opportunity to view demonstrations, buy artwork, enter a free prize draw and even get involved in creative workshops. Studio locations are throughout Surrey and its borders.
The SAOS launch weekend takes place on Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 June https://surreyopenstudios.org.uk/events/category/launch-events/ with artists offering an array of activities exclusively for first weekend visitors to this popular county-wide event. There will be taster workshops with different materials across the arts and crafts, scheduled specially for the opening weekend.
SAOS has been running for 23 years, representing the best in the county’s creativity and shining a light on makers, artists and creatives producing everything from ceramics and jewellery to paintings and sculpture.
